What are the forensic principles?
All work as a comparison.
Scientifically associate suspect with victim or crime scene
What is the locard exchange principal?
Whenever two objects come into contact, there’ll be an exchange of materials.
What are the two types of evidence?
Class evidence – may end for a general category, but not one specific item or individual (I.e., type of shoes, haircolor, etc.)
Unique evidence – identified to one specific item or individual and excludes all others (I.e. Fingerprints, physical matches, bullets, etc.)

What are the different types of fingerprint impressions?
- Latent- invisible, require chemical, powder or lighting to make visible.
- Patent- visible, made with blood, oil, grease, etc
- plastic-prints impressed into an object such as soap, butter, wax, soft putty, etc.
- rolled impression- intentional recording of the print
