explain GB involvement in Rhodesia
GB left Rhodesia to govern itself. It caused conflict between the Rhodesian gov and black nationalists which caused a civil war from ‘64-‘79. The gov heavily relied on the white minority, so Callghan made the Lancaster House Agreement in 1979 which guaranteed 20/100 seats for white minority.

GB troops sent to NI to keep civilians safe from IRA. But the troops fire into crowds of unarmed civilians in Derry. 13 killed 15injured.

power sharing gov between GB and NI.
explain the Yom Kippur war
initiated by Egypt and Syria and lasted for 10 days. The purpose was mostly so that Egypt could get back land Israel stole in the 6 day war.

the north was communist and the south was not. USA supported the south and the USSR supported the north which lead to the Cold War

GB took a loan of $3.9million due to unemployment, troubles in NI etc
