A rule made by Britain that military estimates would be made on the assumption that they wouldn’t be going to war for another ten years. As a result, military reduced drastically. Churchill renewed it in late 1920s

- Poland prepared to go to war with them while Britain and France did nothing. Poland exposing themselves as a potential threat to Germany and Brit and France showing they weren’t willing to go to war
