Flexor digitorum superficialis - Origin
Humeroulnar head:
- Medial epicondyle of humerus via. Common flexor tendon
- Coronoid process of ulna
Radial head:
1. Proximal 1/2 of anterior shaft of radius (distal to radial tuberosity)
Flexor digitorum superficialis - insertion
Anterior surface of adjacent sides of middle phalanges of fingers 2-5
Flexor digitorum superficialis - actions
- Flexion of fingers 2-5 at MCP and PIP joints
- Flexion of hand at wrist joint
- Flexion of forearm at elbow joint
Flexor digitorum superficialis - innervation
Median nerve
Flexor digitorum superficialis - arterial supply
Ulnar and radial arteries
Flexor digitorum profunds - origin
- Medial anterior surface of proximal 1/2 of ulna

Flexor digitorum profunds - insertion
Anterior surface of distal phalanges of fingers 2-5

- Flexion of fingers 2-5 at MCP, PIP and DIP joints

- Flexion of thumb at CMC, MCP and IP joints
- Flexion of hand at wrist joint
- Radial deviation of hand at wrist joint
- Flexion of forearm at elbow joint
- Pronation of forearm at radioulnar joint
