Flexes hand at wrist and tightens palmar aponeurosis
Flexor carpii ulnaris - attachments
Proximal: Humeral head - Medial epicondyle
Ulnar head - medial margin of olecranon and posterior border of ulna
Distal: Pisiform bone and extension of its ligament attaches to hook of hamate and base of 5th metacarpal

Ulnar nerve (C7, C8)
Flexor carpii ulnaris - action
Flexion and adduction of hand at wrist
Flexor digitorum superficialis - attachments
Proximal: Humero-ulnar head - medial epicondyle, ulnar collateral ligament, coronoid process of ulna
Radial head - superior half of anterior aspect of radius
Distal: four tendons of insertion attach to bodies of middle phalanges of medial 4 digits
Flexor digitorum superficialis - innervation
Median nerve (C6, C7, T1)
Flexor digitorum superficialis - action
Flexion of proximal interphalangeal joints
Contributes to flexion of all joints it crosses (elbow, wrist, metacarpophalangeal)
Flexor digitorum profundus - attachments
Proximal: Proximal part of medial and anterior aspect of ulna and interosseous membrane
Distal: Four tendons attach to bases of distal phalanges of medial 4 digits
Flexor digitorum profundus - innervation
Muscle divides into two parts proximal to wrist
Medial part - ulnar nerve (C8, T1)
Lateral part - median nerve (C8, T1)
Flexor digitorum profundus - action
Flexion of distal interphalangeal joints
Also produces some flexion at proximal interphalangeal joints, metacarpophalangeal joints and wrist
Flexor pollicis longus - attachments
Proximal: Anterior aspect of radius and interosseous membrane
Distal: Base of distal phalanx of thumb
