Friction Force
the force exerted by a surface as an object moves across it or makes an effort to move across it.
Electric Charge Force
Force exerted by a charged object on another object.
Air resistance
a special type of frictional force that acts upon objects as they travel through the air.
Weight
The pull of an object toward the centre of the earth.
Magnetic Force
The force exerted between some metals e.g. Iron
Tension
The force exerted by an object being pulled upon from opposite ends like a string, rope, cable, or chain.
Thrust
This force causes a rocket or jet aeroplane to change speed.
Balanced forces
When an equal amount of force is applied to an object in opposite directions. The object will remain at rest or traveling at a constant speed.
Unbalanced forces
When an unequal amount of force is applied to an object. Results in the speeding up or slowing down of the object.
Mass
Measurement of how much matter is in an object
Contact force
Forces that need things to be in contact.
Non contact forces
Forces that can act at a distance.
Normal force
the support force exerted upon an object that is in contact with another stable object
Gravitational Force
Attractive force between two objects with mass
