Q

POTENTIAL ENERGY

A

Potential energy is energy that is stored and can be used. Think of a ball in your hand. It has potential energy. If you let it fall, its potential energy will transform into kinetic energy and it will fall to the ground.

Q

KINETIC ENERGY

A

Kinetic energy is the energy of objects in motion. A moving bicycle or car has kinetic energy. A tossed ball has kinetic energy as well

Q

WHAT TRIGGERS MOTION?

A

A motion can’t be triggered on its own. A force is needed to create motion.
