Forces Flashcards
A force that pulls objects toward each other.
Gravity
To press against an object in order to move it away
Push
The force that resists motion when two surfaces rub against each other
Friction
A condition or factor that changes in an investigation so the effects can be observed
Variable
Information describing what was leaned from an investigation based on observations and collected data
Valid Conclusion
The force gravity exerts on a object’s mass
Weight
An idea that can be tested by experiment or observation
Testable Hypothesis
A condition or factor that changes in an investigation so the effects can be observed
Variable
The place where something is located; where something has been put
Position
The quality of data to be true, correct, and dependable
Reliability
A push or a pull that causes an object to move, stop, or change direction
Force
A change in position of an object
Motion
An equal push on both sides of an object which results in no change in motion
Balanced Force
An unequal push on one side of an object which results in a change in motion
Unbalanced Force
The substance, object or group in an experiment that is not changed
