Q

What is the method for connected particles questions?

A
  1. F=ma for both particles (equation of motion)
  2. Use simultaneous equations to find acceleration or tension
  3. When the string breaks or something hits the floor, use SUVAT to find V for one particle
  4. V then becomes U for the particle that goes up so find a new acceleration once the tension becomes 0 after 1st particle hits the floor
