Q

What can you hear when auscultating PULMONIC AREA?

A

Systolic ejection murmurs

  • -Flow murmur (ASD* or PDA**)
  • -Pulmonic stenosis (rare)
  • You’re not hearing blood flow through the ASD itself, just the increased flow through the right heart that it causes.
  • *Best heard a little superior.
