What is fast food
It is when food is diplayed on posters or boards then you place an order get your food and leave
What is cafeteria
All food items on sale are displayed there then people que up and get what they want then que up and pay
What is seated counter service
Sit a counter and are served food like yo sushi
What is carvery service
Meat is carved infront of people on counters then served and people take thier own vegetables and sauces
What is free flow
Food is all together and customers take whatever
What is multi point
Food sold at different counters and paid at different counters
What is buffet service
Food is out for people to take and pay for at their will
What is table service
Waiters/waitresses take orders at the table and bring the food to the table in restaurants or pubs the areas are split into stations and a certain amount of waiters will only work in that station.
What is trolley service
Food is prepared in front of customers on a trolley and then served
What is transport catering
Long distance trains tend to have dining carridges for sit down meals or take away cafeteria food and sometimes trolleys with food on them.
Aeroplanes sometimes have menus to choose from or they have you preorderyour food so that they know they wont run out in advance.
Ships and ferries tend to have food services and shops wich you can buy stuff from whilst voyaging
What is a vending system
Vending systems are quick and easy ways to feed a mass of people becuase they can chose from multiple things then have it heated quickly and served ready to leave straight away japan is amazing at this having 5 people to every one vending machine
What do managers do
Make sure everything is running smoothly
Makes sure finance and security are looked after
Hire and fire people
Promotions and training of staff
Cutomer stisfaction
Future planning
In charge of safety and wellbieng of employees
Responsible forcleaners and maintanace
Make sure not in violation of any laws
Deal with complaints and problems
