Anemia
A condition where there is a deficiency of red blood cells resulting in low iron and tiredness
Lifecycle
The stages in life as each progresses they undergo changes
Lactation
The secretion of milk by the mammary glands
Antibody
The blood protein produced to help fight bacteria and viruses
Balanced Diet
A diet which consists of the correct proportions of the 6 nutrients
Malnutrition
Lack of nutrients that the body needs on order to function properly
Food Allergy
A reaction in the immune system which occurs when a food is eaten and causes rash, hives or even death in harsh cases.
Food Intolerance
A reaction to a food which can cause sickness or reflux. (e.g. Lactose intolerant or gluten intolerant
Glucose
A simple sugar which is important for survival and can be found in carbohydrates
Insulin
A hormone produced in the pancreas which provides the body with energy boosts
Anorexia Nervosa
A medical condition which is emotionally based causing the person to not eat food to loose weight
Diabetes
A medical disease in which the body’s metabolism works faster than usual causing low blood pressure and loss of energy
Bulimia
An emotional medical disorder which causes not to be happy about your body image which causes to not eat. If food is consumed it would most likely be vomited up
Vegetarian
A person who does not eat meat, fish or sometimes any form of animal production
Perishable
Can decay or rot away quickly
