Nutritional Significance of Eggs
A
Protein: High in HBV Protein. For growth and repair of body cells.
Carbohydrates: No Carbohydrates presents therefore you must serve it with starchy rich foods eg. Bread
fats: Saturated fat in the yolk. Provides Insulation and protection of the delicate organs. no fat in egg whites.
Vitamins: B group vitamins, help nervous system. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant which removes toxins from body
Minerals: Iron is present, produces Haemoglobin, carries oxygen around the body.
Water: high water content in eggs, particularly in the white as there is no fat.
