A

Jewish dietary laws (kashrut) state their food must be kosher (means fit for consumption)

Kosher animals are ones which have split hooves and chew cud (such as cows and deer), plus fish that have fins and scales (no shellfish).

These animals animals must be slaughtered using quick, painless methods that allow the blood to drain afterwards as blood is considered non-kosher

Pig, rabbit, hare and camel are not allowed

Dairy and meats must not be cooked together or eaten together
