Farming crops like fruit and vegetables

Farming animals like cows, sheep and pigs

An extreme shortage of food for a large number of people
What is malnutrition
Not getting enough to eat, or not eating enough of the different kinds of foods your body needs

What are food miles
The miles your food travels
Why do we have such large food miles
Because there is more variety of food to eat so the UK has to get those foods from different places so it costs a lot

What happens in the 2nd stage
Then the beans get collected from cocoa pods
What happens in the 3rd stage
The pods are cut and then the beans are left to ferment (5-7 days) to remove any of the fruit residue
What is the 4th stage
The beans are dried and turned regularly
The beans are then bagged up and ate seller to a dealer/buyer
What happens in the 5th stage
The beans are bagged up and are ready for export. They’re then transported on huge ships to various locations around the world
What happens in the 6th stage
Someone inspects the cocoa beans
What happens is the 7th stage
The beans are roasted and then ground into liquid
What happens in the 8th stage
Sugar and milk are added to the liquid and it’s swirled to get the smooth consistency
What happens in the 9th stage
The bar is transported around the world
What happens in the 10th stage
It is then in a shop
