Takeoff Alternate

A

Required if unable to return using Cat I minimums.

May elect to return OEI Cat II/III.

Alternate must be within 1 hour, calculated at OEI cruise.

A

Required if weather at ETA +/-1 hr is below 2000ft / 3 SM.
