Takeoff Alternate
Required if unable to return using Cat I minimums.
May elect to return OEI Cat II/III.
Alternate must be within 1 hour, calculated at OEI cruise.
Destination Alternate
Required if weather at ETA +/-1 hr is below 2000ft / 3 SM.
Exemption 10332: Cat I, 1000ft / 3 SM … Cat II/III, 1000ft / 2 SM (and no thunderstorms for either)

Longest runway available, wet landing field length, zero wind.
