What are the advantages of 3% & 6% foam?
A
- Less water to extinguish fire
- Reduces danger of re-ignition
- Can flood areas/compartments
- On shipboard fires: the lightness reduces stability issues
- Can be used where access and use of water is unavailable
- Only agent that will put out Class ‘B’ fires
- Adhesion to surfaces
