What are the advantages of 3% & 6% foam?

A
  • Less water to extinguish fire
  • Reduces danger of re-ignition
  • Can flood areas/compartments
  • On shipboard fires: the lightness reduces stability issues
  • Can be used where access and use of water is unavailable
  • Only agent that will put out Class ‘B’ fires
  • Adhesion to surfaces
