6
Q

When DES NOW is selected early what happens?

7
Q

What happens when a late DES NOW descent is selected?

A

The FD commands a 1.5° steeper than planned descent angle to intercept the planned path, unless the descent angle is not enough to intercept in which case a UNABLE PATH INTERCEPT message will be displayed

Q

What is the normal takeoff speed schedule?

A

It does not provide guidance, but displays V2, until V2 is met, then it ramps up to V2 + 10kt until vertical mode is changed

13
Q

What is Approach speed guidance?

A

Approach speed is selected on the DEP/APP speed pages. When flaps 1 is selected the FMS commands speed for the next flap

14
Q

What is Go-Around speed guidance?

A

When G/A is selected the flight director sets speed defined in PERF INIT. If New approach is set while in go-around mode FMS reverts to approach speeds. If a new destination is set while in go-around mode FMS reverts to climb schedule

17
Q

What does FMS annunciation DGRAD mean?

A

The FMS has lost RNP, GPS is not available and is required for the selected flight plan procedure

Q

What does FMS annunciation WPT mean?

A

FMA give WPT advisory 30 seconds prior to sequencing a waypoint

21
Q

What does FMS annunciation VTA mean?

A

The FMS is warning of an impending vertical track command. These include: within 1000’ of capturing an altitude constraint, 1 min prior to TOD, 1 min prior to resuming a climb or descent from a constraint waypoint, prior to resuming a VFLCH descent due to speed limit altitude level off, 1 min prior to executing a step climb

22
Q

What does FMS annunciation OFFSET mean?

A

It is an advisory that the FMS is flying an offset up to 30nm parallel

23
Q

At what point prior to the approach must the APPR annunciation turn on?

A

2nm before the FAF and must remain lit for the duration of the approach. Only for FMS flown approaches
