Myasthenia Gravis
A
Pres: overt ptosis and bulging of eyes with a progressive weakness throughout the day
-may also see difficulty chewing & dipoplia
Dx: Edrophonium (AChEi) or EMG (decremental response w/ repetitive stimulation)
Pathophys: autoAb against postsynaptic AChR
Tx: Neostigmine
F/u: Check thymus for hyperplasia or thymoma
