Hourly Rate
(Rate x weight in kg = days total vol) / 24
*40 mL to 60 mL = avg rate per hour
*use 45 mL for class
Dehydration Factor
Weight in lbs x percent dehydration* as a decimal x 500 = day’s total vol
Total Vol / 24 = Hourly Rate
*usually 5% or 10% based on vet’s assessment.
