Petals
Bright in color to attract insects or birds
Anther
It makes pollen
Filament
It holds the anther high up in the air
Sepal
These are the “leaves” that protect the flower while it is developing inside the bud
Stigma
An opening at the top where pollen carried by insects or birds enters
Style
A passageway for the pollen to reach the ovary
Ovary
The place where the ovules or seeds are created. This will become the fruit for the flower.

Male, anther, filament
Pistil
Female, stigma, style, ovary
Seed coat
Protects the seeds while they grow and develop- usually underground
Embryo
Inside the seed, baby plant , one part becomes the plant while the other part becomes the root
Angiosperm
A plant that has flowers and produces seeds enclosed within an ovary
