- *Both of these :**
- The planned duration of the flight from take-off to landing, or in the event of inflight re-planning the remaining flying time to destination does not exceed 6 hours.
- Two separate runways are available and usable at the destination Aerodrome
- The appropriate weather reports or forecasts or any combination of thereof, indicate that from a period of 1 hour before until 1 hour after ETA, the ceiling will be at least 2000’ or circling height + 500’, whichever is greater
- The visibility will be at least 5 km

Two alternates required if :
- From 1 hour before to 1 hour after the ETA the weather conditions will be below the applicable planning minima
- *OR**
- When no meteorological information is available
It is not possible to return to an aerodrome of departure.
The take-off alternate shall fulfill the following requirements:
- *- The appropriate weather reports or forecasts or any combination thereof indicate that, during a period commencing one hour before and ending one hour after the estimated time of arrival** at the aerodrome, the weather conditions will be at or above the applicable landing minima for the aerodrome concerned_(not less than CAT I)_;
- The aerodrome shall be within 325 nm for A320 or 1 hour one engine inoperative cruise speed from aerodrome of departure, but not restricted by one engine inoperative performance
Below 200 ft, the AUTOLAND red light illuminates if:
• The aircraft is close to the ground (<200ft), and
• AP is supposed to land the aircraft (engaged in LAND or FLARE mode), and
• Something from the following happens:
o AP does not do what it is supposed to do:
➢ Disengages
➢ Long Flare
o LOC problem (above 15 feet):
➢ LOC deviation exceeds ¼ dot (scale flashes)
➢ LOC signal is lost (FD vertical bar flashes)
o GLIDE problem (above 100 feet):
➢ GLIDE deviation exceeds 1 dot (scale flashes)
➢ GLIDE signal is lost (FD horizontal bar flashes)
o RA Problem:
➢ They don’t agree (difference greater than 15ft)
FCOM - Limitations - Auto Flight System - General - Non-Precision Approaches with Engine-Out :
If one engine is inoperative, it is not permitted to use the autopilot to perform NPAs in the following modes : FINAL APP, NAV V/S, NAV/FPA.
Only the FD use is permitted.
