  • The visibility will be at least 5 km

It is not possible to return to an aerodrome of departure.

The take-off alternate shall fulfill the following requirements:

  • *- The appropriate weather reports or forecasts or any combination thereof indicate that, during a period commencing one hour before and ending one hour after the estimated time of arrival** at the aerodrome, the weather conditions will be at or above the applicable landing minima for the aerodrome concerned_(not less than CAT I)_;
  • The aerodrome shall be within 325 nm for A320 or 1 hour one engine inoperative cruise speed from aerodrome of departure, but not restricted by one engine inoperative performance

Below 200 ft, the AUTOLAND red light illuminates if:
• The aircraft is close to the ground (<200ft), and
• AP is supposed to land the aircraft (engaged in LAND or FLARE mode), and
• Something from the following happens:
o AP does not do what it is supposed to do:
➢ Disengages
➢ Long Flare
o LOC problem (above 15 feet):
➢ LOC deviation exceeds ¼ dot (scale flashes)
➢ LOC signal is lost (FD vertical bar flashes)
o GLIDE problem (above 100 feet):
➢ GLIDE deviation exceeds 1 dot (scale flashes)
➢ GLIDE signal is lost (FD horizontal bar flashes)
o RA Problem:
➢ They don’t agree (difference greater than 15ft)

If one engine is inoperative, it is not permitted to use the autopilot to perform NPAs in the following modes : FINAL APP, NAV V/S, NAV/FPA.

Only the FD use is permitted.
