Flight Deck Lights & Panels Flashcards
L ENG OIL PRESS CWP
Comes on if; Engine oil pressure is below 30 PSI, PGB oil pressure
is below 25 psi (PL above FI) or PGB oil pressure is below 7 psi (PL
below FI)
CABIN PRESS CWP
Comes on if Cabin Altitude is above 10,000 ft or if cabin diff
increases above 7.5psi.
AUTO TRIM CWP
Comes on if Autopilot should detect a failure in the Auto Pilot/ Auto
trim or YD auto trim system.
CONFIG WARNING T/O
The CONFIG light comes on when applying Takeoff power (Above
64 degree PLA) on the ground for:
* pitch trim tabs out of green range for T/O,
* CL not a max position, and
* flaps are not set for takeoff.
CONFIG WARNING LANDING
CONFIG light also comes on when the aircraft is not in the landing configuration. (Gear
down below 500 ft Radio alt with less than 64 degree PLA) The same is triggered by
selecting 20 degree flap or more without gear down and locked. (For this condition horn
cannot be silenced)
AUTOCOARSEN CWP
Comes on to indicate a failure in the Auto coarsen computer.
PITCH TRIM CWP
The PITCH TRIM light comes on when pitch trim sync is deactivated.
NOTE; Pitch, roll and heading comparator caution is inhibited when
either EFIS switch is in XSIDE DATA position.
L FIRE DET FAIL CWP
Comes on flashing to indicate a short circuit in the engine fire
detection loop. The light will remain on for as long as the fault is
present.
FUEL CWP
Comes on flashing whenever a caution light associated with the fuel
system comes on (EXCEPT XFEED ON AND CONN VALVE OPEN)
ENGINE CWP
Comes on together with L/R FUEL LOW TEMP, L/R OIL BYPASS,
and L/R CHIP DETECT lights.
FLAPS CWP
The Flaps light comes on if there is a malfunction in the flap electrical
control system. The light will also come on when FLAPS test switch
is activated.
AIRCOND CWP
The AIRCOND light will come on flashing together with a MASTER
CAUTION for:
* Bleed air leak,
* Bleed air temp to high (288 Deg°C),
* Bleed Valve closed,
* Bleed Valve is not closed after a closed signal, and
* HP Valve is not closed after a closed signal.
PARK BRK ON CWP
Comes on when parking brake handle is pulled and brake pressure
exceeds 1700 psi and goes off when brake handle is pushed down
and pressure decreases to 900psi.
HYDR CWP
Comes on to indicate low hydraulic pressure in any of the hydraulic
accumulators, or high fluid temperature in the MAIN Accumulator.
Low pressure warning at 1800 psi. High Temp on at 116 Deg°C and
goes out at 93 Deg°C.
EMER LTS UNARMED CWP
Comes on when the Emergency Lights switch is in the OFF
position.
OXYGEN CWP
Comes on if Oxygen pressure in the main Oxy Bottle goes below
800+35 psi.
A-SKID INOP
Comes on when the LDG GEAR is extended with ANTI-SKID switch
OFF or with a systems fault.
AVIONICS CWP
Comes on flashing when EFIS comparator caution is triggered or
when either EFIS test switch is actuated. Reverts to steady when
MASTER CAUTION is reset. Goes out when difference between
systems is reduced to within limits.
AVIONICS VENT
Comes on if the Avionics vent fan fails.
DOORS CWP
Comes on if any exit is not secured correctly. No indication will be
received from the OVERWING EXIT or the FWD Right Type II
Emergency EXIT.
L STALL FAIL
Comes on if Stall Warning Computer channel 1 or 2 detects:
* A stall computer failure, and
* A difference of 2 degree angle or more between the dual AOA
signals.
In both cases stall warning and push signals from respective
computer are inhibited.
GUST LOCK CWP
The GUST LOCK light comes on if the electric rudder gust lock has
remained engaged after the Gust Lock handle has been disengaged.
PUSHER SYSTEM CWP
Comes on under the following conditions:
* Pusher monitoring circuit detects a short and/or open circuit
within the pusher servo.
* If only one stall computer initiates PUSH with a discrepancy of
> 6.5 degree AOA to the other stall computer.
* When PUSH 1 and/or 2 signals are initiated.
CARGO EXT
Light comes on when the pressure in the Extinguisher bottle in the
Cargo compartment goes below the preset minimum
(approx 260 - 310 psi) after about 15 minutes of the total 30 minute
life of the bottle.
L PITOT
Will come on when power is lost to the Main Pitot Tubes.
L ALPHA
Will come on when power is lost to the Angle of Attack sensor.
OAT
Comes on when power is lost to the Temperature Probe. The Nose landing gear must be in the retracted position.
STBY PITOT
Will come on when power is lost to the Standby Pitot Tube.
L SIDE/L FRONT
Will come on when an ‘overheat’ or ‘controller’ fault occurs.
When does HIGH windshield heat turn on?
Once the gear is up and locked, controlled by a weight on wheels switch.
