Agricultural Tractor
A self-propelled machine primarily designed to pull, push, carry, or operate trailers and implements.
Pedestrian-operated Machine
A machine with an integral power unit, normally operated by a pedestrian, for agricultural operations.
Self-propelled Machine
A machine with one or more integral power units that propel and operate it while performing agricultural tasks.
Lot
A group of components or equipment of the same kind, type, size, and material in a consignment.
Acceptance Test
A test carried out on samples from a lot to determine if the lot meets specifications.
Type Test
A test conducted to verify conformity with the relevant standard specifications of a given type of equipment.
Routine Test
A test performed on every component or equipment to check specifications likely to vary during production.
Guard
A protective device preventing contact with dangerous moving parts of a machine.
Operator’s Manual
A document that provides instructions on the safe and proper use, maintenance, and operation of a machine.
Safety Distance
The minimum distance required to prevent inadvertent contact with hazardous machine parts.
Power Take-off (PTO)
A mechanical power output device used to drive auxiliary equipment.
Hitch
A towing device used to secure an implement or trailer to a tractor.
Drawbar
A towing component on a tractor designed to connect implements or trailers.
Brakes
Devices used to slow down or stop the movement of an agricultural machine.
Steering Mechanism
A system that allows the operator to control the direction of an agricultural machine.
