*Is a law that tells us how to properly use and respect the Philippine National Flag,m the national anthem and other symbols of our country.
REPUBLIC ACT 8491 – FLAG HERALDIC CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES
The Philippine Flag: Part of the flag means
*Blue means peace, truth and justice
*Red means bravery and willingness to, fight for freedom
*White triangle stands for equality and unity among all Filipinos
The National Flag shall be displayed in all public buildings, official residences, public plazas, and instituions of learning mthroughout the year.
Sec 9 Hoisting and Display of the National Flag
- The National Flag shall be permanently hoisted, day and night throughout the year, in ont of the following and other places as may be designated by the Institute.

displayed in private buidings and residences or raised in the Open flag-staffs in front of said buildings every…….
Sec. 11.
The National Flag shall be flown on all naval vessels and on merchant ships of Philippine registry, of more than one thousand (1,000) gross tons

Sec. 14.
The National Flag, if flown from a flagpole, shall have its blue field on top in time of peace and the read filed on top in time of war;
Sec. 15
If flagpole shall be at a prominent place and shall be of such height as would five the Flag commanding position in relation to the buildings in the vicinity.
Sec. 16.
- When the National Flag is flown with flag or flags of other countries, the flags must be of equal size and on separate staffs of the same height.
Sec. 17
When displayed a row or in a parade with flags of other countries, the National Flag shall be on the left.
Sec18.
- A worn out National Flag should not be thrown away.
Sec. 19
- The National Flag shall be raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset.
Section 20
- The National Flag may be displayed:
a. Inside and/or outside a building - B. From the top of a flagpole, which shall be at a prominent place or a commanding position in relation to the surrounding building
- C. From a staff projecting upward from the window
- D. In a suspended position from a rope extending from a building to a pole erected away from the buildings.
e. Flat against the wall vertically with the sun and starts on top

- The National Flag shall be hoisted to the top briskly and lowered ceremoniously
