What is a government bond (govy)
When someone buys a gov bond it is an investment. The government borrows your money and pays an agreed upon level of interest in return.

Less than 3 years

4-10 years

What is a municipal bond?
A bond issued by state or city to fund capital projects such as schools, roads etc.
Any interest earned is exempt from federal income tax.
What are company bonds and why do they differ from stocks?
A company bond is a debt security to raise funds.
Unlike stocks, bond investors have no voting rights or equity in the organisation.
