Anaerobic
With out oxygen; activities performed over long period of time
What is an example of an anaerobic activity?
Lifting weights, or sprinting short distances
What are the five components of fitness?
Cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, body composition, and flexibility
What is cardiovascular endurance?
The ability of the heart to provide oxygen to muscles during prolonged periods of time
What is muscular endurance?
The ability of a muscle or muscle group to perform repeated contractions against resistance over a long period of time
What is muscular strength?
The ability to produce muscular force
What is flexibility?
The range of motion at a given joint
What is body composition?

What is the name of the major artery in the wrist?
The radial artery
When should the resting heart rate be taken?
First thing in the morning
How do you calculate maximum heart rate?
220 minus age
How do you calculate target heart rate?
Maximum heart rate times .7 and .9
What is the F.I.T.T principle?
Frequency, Intensity, type, time
What is the appropriate frequency in the F.I.T.T. principle?
