the repetition of sounds, especially initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words

ambiguity
uncertainty or inexactness of meaning in language

i promise ill give you the ring tomorrow; could be a guy who’s wife lost her ring, could be talking about a ring on the phone
analogy
a comparison between two things, typically on the basis of their structure and for the purpose of explanation or clarification
anaphora
rhetoric the repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of successive clauses
anecdote
when an author uses a personal story in his or her argument or writing
antithesis
a person or thing that is the direct opposite of someone or something else; the opposite or contrast of idea. The opposite of what is stated
antecedent
the word, phrase, or clauses referred to by a pronoun ;; a given pronoun in a long, complex sentence or in a group of sentences
Allusion
brief refernce to a person, event, or place(real or ficticous) or to a work of art.
