What is the shock position?
Laying the patient flat on his back on a horizontal surface
What is the jaw-thrust maneuver?
Used if a neck injury is suspected
Place on back, fingers behind the jaw and move the jaw forward,
Tilt the head back and use your thumbs to open the mouth for breathing
What is angina?
Chest pain caused by an inadequate flow of blood and oxygen to the heart muscle, related to physical/emotional stress
Short of breath, sweating, extremely frightened
O2 demand exceeds supply
Diabetic Driving vs an OUI
Diabetes is caused by the body’s inability to process and use glucose
Give them sugar if conscious
