The location is the human and physical landscape and links to other places

Meaning is a subjective percerption of the area which gives an indication of whether people think that it is a nice place based on their own experiences
1.1: What does change have to do with places?
- Places are always dynamic; they are everchanging
- All places are constantly ‘becoming something’ or are being transformed into something else
