What equipment is often used for first-attack firefighting
Fire extinguishers and light firefighting equipment would be on hand.

What are Hose reels in buildings?
Wall-mounted hose reels that are similar to garden hoses
What are hose reels used for?
used for class A fires. It can be dangerous to use on other times of fires or electrical equipment
Fire blanket=?
fire-resistant material that can be used to smother a fire or put out a person’s clothing that is alight.
Where are fire blankets often found?
Fire blankets are often installed in kitchens where small fires are common.
How do you use a fire blanket?
hold it in a way that your hands are protected from the flames by the blanket. Place the bottom of the blanket on the near side of the fire. Do not throw the bottom of the blanket onto the far side of the fire, as this can cause the fire to run up the fabric and burn your hands.

what are the four Ss of safety?
support (don’t fight alone or with a small crew),
size (don’t fight a fire bigger than about one meter by one meter when first attack fire fighting),
surroundings (fire that threats hazard materials that can explode or give off hazardous fumes should be the subject of first attack fire fighting)
smoke ( if the smoke and heat are affecting you vacate the premises and shut all doors behind you)
how do you Safely approach and attack the fire when following first attack procedures?
attack from upwind, attack from uphill, don’t open doors if they seem affected by the fire, plan an escape route beforehand, check equipment beforehand, stay low and slow to avoid smoke/fumes, fight from a distance, use the maximum rage of your equipment, lay used extugiser on side, if not working evacuate the area.
How do you Follow after-fire safety procedures?
do not disturb the fire area (for investigators), stay out of the smoke and fire-affected areas (even if out), do not return to the area until deemed safe, and arrange for used equipment to be surveyed.
