Explain the 5 parts of the primary survey

A

Danger: Check for danger to casualty, first aider and any bystanders

Response: Check if the casualty is responsive, speak to them touch their shoulders and pinch their ear lobes

Airway: check to see if there is anything in their mouth, open their airway by doing head tilt chin lift.

Breathing: Check to see if the casualty is breathing. Look listen and feel for no more than 10 seconds. If they are not breathing call 999

Circulation: check for bleeding or any other life-threatening injuries
