how to treat burns
cold water, dress the wound, do not remove clothing
what are the 4 types of wounds
Abrasion, Laceration, Puncture, Avulsion
Abrasion
scrape, easily infected, clean and cover wound
Laceration
cut, cover wound, direct pressure, depending on severity seek Md
Puncture
pin, internal bleeding, and infection
Avulsion
cut off, gather severed body part, pack on ice, cover wound and get to hospital
how can you be poisoned
swallowing, inhaling, bites, contact
what to do when poisoned
- )find the culprit
- ) call nearest poison control
- ) give all information on what the poison was
when poisoned, what is something to drink to help you vomit
milk (alkaline) or salty warm water (emetic)
what happens if you move after being bit and injected with posison
may have more poison pump through the body
what causes choking to occur
food/object is lodged in the trachea
