What are the classification of fire type?
Class A - solid materials, usually organic. Extinguish with water.
Class B - liquids or liquefiable solids (miscible, mix with water, or don’t mix). Extinguish with foam, CO2 or powder.
Class C - Gases or liquefied gases. Foam or dry powder, or cooling container.
Class D - metals. extinguish under guidance. Often violent reaction with water.
Electrical fires are not a class of their own, but can cause a fire in the other categories, which have to be dealt once safe to do so.
