Arty fires degree of preparation?
- OPPERTUNITY FIRES (4,5,10’)
- PREARRANGED FIRES:

Pronounce next numbers:
100, 2000, 2300, 50
One hundred, two thausand, two three hundred, five zero
CFF consists of:
- Warning order (observer ID and warning order)
- Location of tgt ( + direction)
- Tgt description, complementary data and conduct of fire.
Warning order consists of:
- Observer ID
- Mission type (adjust fire, FFE, number of guns)
Location of tgt consists of:
- Grid coords.
- Tgt number
- Ref/Shift from tgt number/RP
- POLAR coords.
Tgt description, complementary data and conduct of fire consists of:
- Description (what you see)
- Tgt strength
- DC
- Required effects
- Trajectory
- Ammo
- Method of fire and control
MTO?
Message to observer
(Adjust fire or ffe, aimpoints PEH2000, number of rounds, angle T,….)
ADM?
Air deconfliction message.
( Max vertex, PEr, GTL)
STOP
Stops all activities.
CEASE LOADING
Do not reload, if there’s a round in the gun it can be fired.
CHECK FIRING
Firing has to be stopped but all other activities can continue. ( Given by FO)
VERIFY ELEMENTS
The elements used to fire have to be checked.
ELEMENTS correct? -> repeat
Error at gun? -> solve problem
LOST
FO had NOT seen and NOT heard the shot.
UNOBSERVED
FO has NOT seen but has heard the shot.
DOUBTFUL
The Observation of the shot is approximate. (Out of FOV of bino or impact had not been seen only the smokeplume)
REPEAT
FO wants a new shot.
Adjust-> one shot same elements
FFE-> New effect with same amount of shots as in MTO
SHOT
Fdc reports shot has been fired.
NEGLECT
Do not take following shots in account.
ROUNDS COMPLETE
All shots mentioned in MTO have been fired.
CANCEL……
Cancel the following order.
WAIT
Stand-by, the one giving the order will call back.
READY
Aimed and loaded. fDC had to report ready if AMC has been ordered by the FO.
REPORT SPLASH
FO wants to be notified before impact of the round. Standard is 5sec but you can ask for 10sec.
SPLASH
Fdc notifies FO for impact.
