Q

How should Ammo & Firearms be stored (NTPF)

A

Police have an exemption to store ammo & firearms in the same place, however policy states where possible this should not occur, and they should be stored separately. In stations where there is only one box, the ammo should NOT be in the firearm, but can be on top of the box.

A

  2. Never let the muzzle cover or point at anything you are not willing to destroy.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger & outside the trigger guard until your sight are on the target and you have decided to fire
  4. Be sure of your target. Know what it is, what it is in line with and what is behind it. Never shoot at anything you have not positively identified.
