Describe how the fire detection system recognizes a leak or fire?
As temperature increases, the resistance in the fire detection loop decreases below a limit. When the firex control unit detects this current increase, a warning indication is generated.

- Closes Fuel SOV

- Arms EXT 1 & 2 squibs
- Deactivates the generator
- FADEC commands engine shutdown
Do we normally test the fire detection system?
No, test only during abnormal situations when prompted by the checklist or MX
What extinguishing agent is used in the Fire Extinguishing System?
Halon 1301
