1. Both master WARNING reset switches
   illuminate.
2. The flight deck warning bell rings (2 sec ON, 3
   sec OFF & silenced by pushing the master
   WARNING reset switch).
3. FUEL CONTROL switch illuminates.
4. Engine fire switch illuminates.
5. FIRE ENG 1,2,3,4 EICAS message.

1. Fire warning.
2. FUEL CONTROL switch in CUTOFF.

2. Closes the related engine bleed air valve.
3. Trips off the related engine generator.
4. Shuts off hydraulic fluid to the related EDP.

6. Arms both engine fire extinguishers.

All have dual loop smoke detectors. 4 in each lower cargo compartment and 16 on the main deck.

1. Enables main deck fire suppression.
2. Turns off 2 packs.
3. Configures equipment cooling to closed loop
   and turns off all airflow to the main deck and
   airflow and heating into the lower cargo
   compartments.
4. Closes the master trim air valve.

What does depressing the FWD or AFT cargo fire ARM switch do?

1. Turns off 2 packs.

What does depressing the CARGO FIRE DEPRESS/DISCH switch do with the FWD or AFT ARM switch armed?

Initiates extinguisher discharge sequence to provide effective agent concentration for 334 mins. 2 bottles discharge immediately and the remaining 4 discharge after a brief delay or upon touchdown.
