Which fire bottle is discharged when rotating the fire handle to the “DISCH 1” position?
The right (number 1) bottle
How often should the flight crew check the handheld fire extinguishers?
Every preflight
Where is the fuel shut off when a fire handle is pulled?
At the respective main fuel feed shutoff valve in the main wheel well
Where are the hydraulics shut off when the fire handle is pulled?
Aft equipment area, next to the reservoir
How is a loss of gas pressure in the APU fire detector loop indicated?
An “APU FIRE DETECT FAIL” CAS message
How is an increase of gas pressure in the APU fire detector loop indicated?
An “APU FIRE” CAS message
Can the aircraft be dispatched with a disabled engine fire detector loop?
Yes, if the faulty loop is turned off
A normal APU fire test on the ground should produce what indications?
5 red lights, 3 amber lights:
Red - APU Fire Test Switch light
Red - “FIRE” - on APU Panel
Red - Master Warning x2
Red - “APU FIRE” CAS
Amber - Master Caution x2
Amber - “APU FIRE DETECT FAIL” CAS
Would the APU FIRE message cause the APU to shut down in flight or on the ground?
Yes to both
What are the correct indications for an engine fire detection fault test?
8 amber lights:
Amber “FIRE DETECTION LOOP FAULT” CAS
2x Master Caution + 2 chimes
Test Switch
The fault legends in all 4 of the L/R LOOP A&B switches
What are the correct indications for an engine fire test?
8 Red Lights:
Red “L or R ENGINE FIRE” CAS
Red “L or R ENGINE FIRE LOOP ALERT” CAS
2x Master Warning - 3 chime
L or R engine test (split loop A/B) switch - 2 lights
L or R Fire T-handle
L or R fuel control switch
