فرض؟
Obligatory Act. Leaving is sinful and denying take you out of Islam.
وَاجِبْ؟
Mandatory. Neglecting without excuse is sinful, denying does not remove someone from Islam.

Muhammad pbuh did it most of the time and left only for valid reasons
