Finding the Area of the Unknown Figure Flashcards

1
Q

Now that we are done with area and perimeter of shapes, but we forgot something!

A

It’s the perimeter and area for the unknown figure!

The unknown figure is a shape made out of other shapes.

So to calculate for it’s perimeter, think of a trapezoid.

The right triangle has a measurement of 9 cm for the non equal side, while the equal sides measure 9 cm.

The rectangle has a length of 51 cm, while the width is 28 cm.

For the formula, add up the perimeter of the rectangle and the triangle, or add up the perimeter of the shapes you found in the figure.

Or to put it simply, just calculate the perimeter of the rectangle and triangle then add up both of the perimeters, then there is your perimeter.
