Price of something sold - price of something bought = capital gains
Real estate holdings

A tradable financial asset
Dividend
A distribution of profits by a corporation to its shareholders
Mortgage
A loan used to purchase a home. The home is the collateral in case the lender isn’t paid back + interest
Loan
A thing that is borrowed, especially a sum of money that is expected to be paid back with interest
Asset
Any item that has equitable value, which can be converted into cash (ex: house, stocks)
Bonds
A loan taken out by corporations and governments from investors
Cash flow
The net cash and cash equivalents transferred in and out of a company.
Cash received is inflows and cash spent is outflows
Cash flow statement
Financial statement that reports a company’s sources and use of cash over time
Interest
The additional money borrowers (of a loan) must pay back + loan
