64
Q

What would you say is the main lesson we learn from Abraham on Mount Mariah when God tested him to see if he was willing to sacrifice his son?

A

We learned that if we have a strong faith in God and are willing to obey all he asks of us, he has a greater plan for us and good will always arise.

65
Q

How can you take this lesson and put it into practice – Abraham on Mount Mariah

A

Whenever I am called by God or he wants me to do something for him, I must remember to have a strong faith and trust in him. Many times God will ask something of me that I do not feel comfortable doing, but if I know it is for a far greater purpose than me, good things will always come from it

66
Q

Remember when we discussed how eves view of God as a person who wanted to spoil her fun? How should we view God, and how should that affect our actions?

A

I believe God is always for us. Even when it seems God to be controlling or mean, he is always working for the greater good. For example, from Eve’s perspective it did seem like God was spoiling her fun, but in the bigger picture he was trying to save her from a lifetime of loss.

67
Q

What are some “small” decisions you may make that will not be good for you?

A

I could choose to disobey my parents or lie once and a while

68
Q

How could these lead to bigger trouble later on – lying and disobeying parents

A

Disobeying my parents would cause me to become less intuitive to their instruction regarding right and wrong. I would end up choosing wrong decisions in later life. Lying could become more natural for me, so I would like more often. The people I have hurt would find out, and will cause greater consequences for me.
