What is Medtech’s Code of Ethics?
As I enter into the practice of Medical Technology, I shall accept the responsibilities inherent to being a professional; uphold the law and shall not participate in illegal work.

Accept employment from more than one employer only when there is no conflict of interest
Perform my task with full confidence, absolute reliability and accuracy
Share my knowledge and expertise with my colleagues
Contribute to the advancement of the professional organization and other allied health care organizations
Restrict my praises, criticisms, views and opinion within constructive limits.
Treat any information I acquired in the course of work as strictly confidential
Uphold the dignity and respect of my profession and conduct myself a reputation of reliability, honesty and integrity
Be dedicated to the use of clinical laboratory science to promote life and benefit mankind.
Report any violations of the above principles of the professional conduct to authorized agency and to the ethics committee of the organization.
To these principles, I hereby subscribe and pledge to conduct myself at all times in a manner befitting the dignity of my profession.

These are wastes that release toxic fumes when mixed with water and may even explode under extreme conditions.

Give examples of Explosive/Reactive wastes.
Nitrogen, Ether, Picric Acid
Waste that may react with heavy metals to produce toxic contaminates and corrode steel waste containers.
Corrosivity
Give examples of Corrosive waste/substances.
Hydrochloric Acid, Acetic Acid, Ammonium Hydroxide
Harmful to human and also the environment as it stimulates the leaching of materials from a landfill into the surrounding groundwater.
Toxicity
Give examples of Toxic waste/substances
Benzene, Xylene
Wastes that can cause fire during routine waste disposal and storage condition.
Ignitability
Give examples of Ignitable waste/substances
Alcohol, Potassium Permanganate

Infectious Waste
Give examples of Infectious wastes.

Pathological Waste
