Introduction
The last paragraph in an essay; it can also be a one-paragraph composition that ends by itself.
Concluding Sentence
A middle paragraph in an essay; it can also be a one-paragraph composition that ends by itself.
Body Paragraph
The ratio of concrete details to commentary in a body paragraph we write it like this 1:2+
Ratio
It is the smallest unit of coherent thought that you can write. It can be one sentence of concrete detail and two sentences of commentary.
Chunk
The first sentence in a body paragraph. In a persuasive essay it gives reason for your opinion. It does the same thing for a body paragraph that the thesis does for the whole essay.
Topic Sentence
The last sentence in a body paragraph. It is all commentary, does not repeat key words, and gives a finished feeling to the paragraph.
Concluding Sentence
Your opinion or comment about the CD in the prior sentence.
