Registry
An organized system for the collection, storage, retrieval, analysis, and dissemination of individuals who have either a particular illness or condition that predisposes them to the occurrence of a health related event or prior exposure to substances or circumstances known or suspected to cause adverse side effects.
Negligence
Failure to exercise the degree if care considered reasonable under the circumstances, resulting in an unintended injury to another party.
The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)
The federal agency responsible for maintaining official vital statistics.
Case-Mix Analysis
The study of the types of patients treated by the facility.
Descriptive Statistics

Interrogatory
A form of discussion that includes a list of written questions that must be answered by the party served.
Contempt of Court
Failure to obey a subpoena which is punishable by fine or imprisonment.
