An environmental issue that has a global source or consequence, transcends more than one international region, the actors involved in addressing the problem are from more than one international region

Describe the dominant paradigm in international environmental law
We look at the environmental issues as economic, not environmental, and try to fix everything with innovation. This got us to where we are today. This no need to focus on the environment at the expense of the economy or development
Explain sustainable development
Development that meets the need of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs
What are the two types of equities in sustainable development
Intergenerational equity and international equity
Intergenerational equity
Decisions today should/must positively benefit future generations
International equity
We shouldn’t disadvantage other countries, aka make decisions that will set back others
