why is an ultrasound performed?
visualize internal structures and soft tissues of the body
what is an angiography/angioplasty
a MI test used to visualize blood vessels and organs of the body
why are CT’s done?
helo diagnose trauma’s, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, infections and cancer
U/S are commonly used for 4 things:
- viewing the fetus and uterus in pregnancy
- evaluating the pelvis and internal organs
- heart and blood vessel exams
- guiding the insertion of needles and other small tools
