Quantitative Data
Expressed in numerical figures. Can be distinguished into categories, grouped, measured, calculated, or ranked.
Quantitative Data
Converts social science data into a form that could be read and manipulated through computer programs and could be statistically analyzed.
Qualitative Data
Has words and descriptions. The data could be subjective and is harder to analyze. This type of data is usually collected through focus groups, interviews using open-ended questions, social artifacts,, field notes, audio-files
Qualitative Data Analysis
Does not require conversion into numbers unlike in quantitative research. It is more creative process to understand the experience.
