Dessous
Under. The working foot passes under or behind that supporting foot .
Spotting
A clear focus of the eyes on a specific point, a quick snap of the head.
Dessus
Over. The working foot passes in front or over the supportin foot.
Saute’
Jumped or jumping. Added to another movement.
En Tournant
Turning. Added to another movement.
Demi Detourne
Half turn, dancers turn toward the back foot, bringing the back foot to the front on the other side.
Soutenu en tournant
Sustained turning. Performed inward.
Tour de Basque
Begins with a semi ron de jambe, a fondu, and a pique onto demi pointe while the other foot closes quickly in 5th position with a turn following.

Chain links of turning. A series of rapid travelling turns

On the diagonal.
Allonge’
extended or stretched out
Soubresaut
Sudden spring or sudden jump. A spring jump from both feet usually travelling forward. In the air you have crossed legs and land with the same foot in front.

Change of the feet. Springing jumps in the 5th position changing feet.
Eschappe’ Saute’
Escaped jumping.
Temps Lie’
Joined or connected movement. A transfer of weight if the body fromone side to the other.
